- Chef Manager for a busy education catering operation in West Sussex.
- Leading a high-volume kitchen producing fresh, seasonal and nutritious food for students and staff.
- A hands-on position combining cooking with the day-to-day management of the catering operation.
- Leading, motivating and developing the kitchen and catering team.
- Menu planning, food production, ordering, stock management and budget control.
- Ensuring excellent standards of food presentation and service throughout the day.
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, allergens, health & safety and due diligence.
- Developing strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders on site.
- Driving student engagement and continually looking at ways to improve the food offer, meal uptake and overall dining experience.
- An experienced Chef Manager or Head Chef from an education, B&I, contract catering or high-volume fresh-food environment.
- Strong hands-on cooking skills with a genuine passion for fresh food.
- Experience leading, motivating and developing a catering team.
- Comfortable working within a busy, high-volume operation.
- Good understanding of food costs, stock control, ordering and kitchen budgets.
- Strong knowledge of allergens, food safety and compliance.
- Confident communicating with clients and key stakeholders.
- A proactive leader who takes ownership of their kitchen and maintains consistently high standards.
