This Senior Quantity Surveyor role sits within the Energy division and will take commercial responsibility for the delivery of complex gas and energy infrastructure projects.
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will ideally have experience across gas infrastructure, pipelines, utilities, heavy civils or wider energy infrastructure, together with strong working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts.
Based from Wormington, you'll join an established commercial team delivering critical UK energy infrastructure projects.

The role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:
- Lead the commercial and contractual management of energy infrastructure projects
- Manage project costs, budgets, forecasts, margins and cash flow
- Prepare and manage client valuations, variations and Compensation Events
- Administer NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, including Early Warning Notices and commercial change
- Procure and commercially manage subcontractors and suppliers
- Manage subcontractor valuations, payments and final accounts
- Identify and manage commercial and contractual risk
- Produce accurate CVRs, forecasts and commercial reporting
- Work closely with operational teams delivering gas, utilities, civils and energy infrastructure
- Build strong commercial relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders
- Support and mentor junior members of the commercial team where required
We're looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with:
- Around 5+ years' Quantity Surveying experience
- Strong experience within civil engineering, heavy civils, utilities, infrastructure or energy
- Ideally experience within gas pipelines, gas infrastructure or major energy projects
- Strong working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4
- Experience managing cost control, CVRs, forecasting, valuations and change
- Strong subcontract procurement and commercial management experience
- Good contractual, financial and negotiation skills
- A Quantity Surveying or related qualification
- Professional membership such as RICS desirable but not essential
- Full UK driving licence
