Talent Hive is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a major UK energy infrastructure business based in Warrington.
This Quantity Surveyor role sits within the Energy division and will support the commercial delivery of complex energy, utilities and civil engineering projects. The successful Quantity Surveyor will ideally have experience across civils, utilities, energy infrastructure, gas pipelines or heavy civil engineering, together with strong working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts.
Working from Warrington, you'll join a growing commercial team delivering critical UK energy infrastructure projects.
 
The role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will:
  • Manage the commercial and contractual performance of energy and infrastructure projects
  • Monitor project costs, margins, forecasts and cash flow
  • Prepare client valuations and manage variations and change
  • Support NEC3 and NEC4 contract administration, including early warnings and compensation events
  • Procure and commercially manage subcontractors and suppliers
  • Manage subcontractor valuations and final accounts
  • Support cost reporting, forecasting and commercial risk management
  • Work closely with project teams delivering civil engineering, utilities and energy infrastructure
  • Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders
What we're looking for
We're looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with:
  • At least 3 years' experience working as a Quantity Surveyor
  • Experience within civil engineering, civils, utilities, infrastructure or energy
  • Ideally experience within gas pipelines, power, energy infrastructure or heavy civils
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4
  • Experience of cost management, forecasting, valuations, subcontract management and change control
  • A Quantity Surveying or related qualification
  • Strong commercial and contractual awareness
  • Full UK driving licence
Experience within energy infrastructure, utilities or civil engineering projects would be particularly relevant.
