The Job Role:
  • The Deputy Head Housekeeper will support the Head Housekeeper in the day-to-day management of the Housekeeping department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the luxury hotel, including guest accommodation and public areas.
  • The Deputy Head Housekeeper will assist with departmental scheduling, productivity and operational efficiencies.
  • You will lead by example on the floor, supporting and motivating the housekeeping team to consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • The Deputy Head Housekeeper will assist with recruitment, training, coaching and development of team members, ensuring standards are maintained at all times.
  • You will deputise for the Head Housekeeper in their absence, taking responsibility for the smooth operation of the department.
  • The Deputy Head Housekeeper will work closely with other departments to ensure rooms are prepared and presented to the highest standards in line with business requirements.
The Requirements:
  • The ideal Deputy Head Housekeeper will have previous supervisory or management experience within a 5* hotel or similar luxury hospitality environment.
  • You will be passionate about delivering exceptional housekeeping standards and guest service.
  • The Deputy Head Housekeeper will possess strong organisational, time management and communication skills.
  • You will be a hands-on leader with the ability to motivate, train and develop a high-performing team.
  • Experience of managing rotas, stock control and departmental administration would be advantageous.
