The Package
  • £45,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week
  • Working hours: 6:30- 3:00pm

The Job Role
  • Role of Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in delivering a high-quality, fresh food offering within a busy, high-volume site
  • Oversee daily food preparation and service, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation
  • Lead and support a team including CDPs and junior chefs, driving standards and development
  • Assist in menu planning and innovation, maintaining a focus on seasonal, fresh ingredients
  • Ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak service periods
  • Maintain excellent health & safety and food hygiene standards
  • Manage stock control, ordering, and waste reduction
  • Support in managing food cost and kitchen budgets
 
The Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef within contract catering, education, or high-volume hospitality
  • Strong fresh food background with a passion for quality ingredients
  • Experience leading and developing kitchen teams
  • Highly organised with the ability to perform under pressure
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and compliance
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • A hands-on approach with a positive, team-driven attitude
